Biobased binders for biobased materials

Intercol has various binders in its range that are used for bio-based materials such as cellulose, vegetable, wood, paper fibres, flax, kenaf, hemp, cotton, etc. Also other materials, such as minerals and bioplastics, can often be bonded with our adhesives to end products, such as (insulation) panels, non-wovens, (geo)textiles, etc.

The binders can be manufactured from starch (wheat, corn, potato), proteins (collagen, casein) but also from sugars or biobased acetic acid derived from the wood industry.
