Crosslinking polymers

Intercol has several crosslinking polymers, like Polyurethane 1K and 2K systems, 1KD3 wood adhesives, 1K or 2K D4 wood adhesives and crosslinkable, PUR hot melt and UAE polymers.

Crosslinked polymers are mostly used where a durable, chemical-, heat-, and/or water-resistant bonds are required. This is typical for wood constructions outside, but also for insulation purposes and the manufacturing of construction panels or geotextiles.

Crosslinkable VAE polymers are often used for textile, non-woven and carpet applications, like:

• Upholstery fabrics
• Flock adhesives
• Non-slip finishes
• Needle-felt carpets
  - Roller-blind fabrics and vertical blinds
  - Heat-sealable and HFweldable wadding materials

Self crosslinkeable VAE polymers are crosslinkedin the drying process, at approx 150 degrees Celcius.
