Water-based polymers are often the most sustainable choice

Water-based polymers are getting more and more attention as a practical step to a more sustainable world. Water-based polymers can enhance the recyclability of packaging. Cartons glued with waterbased adhesives improve sustainability in comparison to many plastic variants.

Water-based polymers are also developed increasing on biobased mass and biodegradability. Still, most polymers are based on fossil raw materials. Allthough there might be options with for example starch adhesives.
