For industrial applications, Intercol has proven expertise in automatic robotic bonding of stone strips. Unlike in manual processing, industrial stone strip robots need specific bonding properties, especially when it comes to handling.

Long Open time, short pressing time

A robot can stop unexpectedly, a good glue, then does not clog the automatic glue system. Also, the glue must be of continuous quality, well pumpable, not too thick, and not too thin. Adhesive strength must be reliable and of consistent quality.

It is therefore important that the adhesive dries only after the stone strip has been applied last. Intercol's copolymer technology, which can be either VAE-based, Acrylate-based or SB-based, allows durable adhesives without cement-based binders to be used with proven reliability.

Binders for new construction processes

Intercol has extensive experience to support the development of new construction processes. Below binders are used to enable all kinds of applications. Such as binding all kinds of insulation materials, EPS, mineral wool and cellulose. Both absorbent and waterproof materials can be processed in an environmentally friendly and labour-friendly way with our adhesives. For example, water-based VAE and acrylic raw materials contain basically no harmful substances. Even when using additives, we can usually use a selection containing extremely environmentally friendly materials.
